Celaia (Steier. Golding)

Type 45 Pellets are a hop product which is added to the kettle during wort boiling. Depending on the time of addition, it contributes to the desired bitterness of a beer as well as its characteristic hop aroma. 

Type 45 Pellets are also suitable for use in the cold section (“dry hopping”) to impart a pronounced hop aroma in beer. 

By removing some of the non-essential plant components during the production process of Type 45 Pellets, the bitter acids and the essential oils are enriched. Aside from lower transportation and storage costs also beer losses can be reduced.

Color*: Olive green 

Alpha acids*: 4-7% 

Beta acids*: 2.5-4.5% 

Hop oil*: 0.3-0.9 ml/100g
